I LOVE THEM!!!! Thanks so much for posting them - I think my favorite one is the one on black - but I like them all! Aren't they just the smuggest, most glorious things?

I'm working up a list of threads to keep an eye out for, so that I can do at least one of the camels this year.... I'll keep you posted on how it goes!

Thanks, Romilly!!

Hi Romilly, I just ran across your blog and it made me smile, especially about all the letters in samplers vbg, I don't like them too much either. Thank you for the link, I really appreciate it. Linda

You're not alone--I bought a kit with a pattern of the Chat Noir poster, but it came with a hideous tan aida. Spent almost as much buying a piece of proper yellow fabric as I'd spent on the whole kit.

Now, I am looking for a US connection for Arraiolos rug making. We have a neighbor who has one. She learned it in Portugal. I found a website (http://www.rosarios4.com/), but it would be so nice to have a US connection. Anyone know of any?

In my own experience, "stitch n bitch" is just a name. A nicely alliterative name, but still just a name. Sure, we may vent some, but the majority of the conversation is about stitching (lots of show n tell) or sharing news. But definitely not a negative tone overall.

I've only ever been to the stitch groups at your house, and they never seemed pervasively negative to me. But I can also be pretty oblivious to such things, so I'm not the one to ask...

Hi Romilly -- I am teaching a ort box class sometime in the next few months . I will be telling people to find their own patterns that work on a 60x60 thread grid. I will be pointing people to your site so if you get some odd downloads of patterns you will know what is going on. Best regards,
