Note: Elmows are distributed as a pdf file. If you don’t have it on your computer, you can get the free Adobe PDF Reader here. This creates a nice clean chart or pattern that you can print on your printer (and size up or down using a copy machine, or even work from the monitor, if you want.

What ARE these things? What can I do with them and is it safe to buy them from you?

If something goes wonky, PLEASE email or call me

Elmows Return Next Week!

Old Elmows

Next week, on March 7, Elmows will return with their new format.

They will still be available weekly. But at the beginning of the month you will have the option of buying the entire package of 5 Elmows. (Four for the month, plus one bonus design) for the low low price (heehee I’ve always wanted to say that!) of $2.99.

Individually, they will be 99 cents each.

Each month will be available for the month they are offered and the month after. So March Elmows will be available for download until April 30, April Elmows until May 31, and so on.

The Design packs of Elmows will then be made available to shops and on my sites (web and Etsy) for the retail price of $5.99 a package, paper copies only.  (So it behooves you to buy the digital download as they are released if you want them!)

In addition, old Elmows will be removed from download Tuesday, March 6. So you have one week to pick up any of the last 12 old ones. (previous Elmows have already been rotated out…)

Elmows Will be Back in March…

After some thought, I am revamping the Elmow program. Fair warning – all old Elmows will be pulled down on February 15. I will repackage them with a few new designs for sale on the GCD site and on Etsy, but the price will be going up, and you won’t be able to get most of them individually any more.

Going forward in March Elmows will be released as follows:

  • 4 weekly patterns and individual designs as always at 99 cents each.
  • The last Wednesday of the month I will post the entire monthly set, including one additional bonus design for $2.99.

They will be available for one month additional. So patterns posted in February will be available through March, and so on.

A month after they are pulled, the design packs (NOT the individual designs) will be available on Etsy and GoldenCircleDesigns.com for $5.99. The format will probably be PDF, although I may make these designs available to shops in printed format as well.

Happy Solstice! And Elmow Holiday Break…

Happy Solstice!

There will be no Elmow this week as I’m celebrating the holidays with my family, and trying to get ready for the new year.

I’m still thinking through the Elmows — there hasn’t been much call for them. I’ve been told that the micro-payment makes it hard for people to actually “get out the card.” So I’ve got a question for you…

Would you prefer me to gather several together every month and offer them as a compilation, rather than one at a time in dribs and drabs? Would you prefer different types of designs? Would you rather I just go away and leave you alone? (and yes, that last one is a valid thought – you might want me to just offer my designs on the main website and Etsy and leave this blog to discussions of actual stitching. If that’s the case, I want to know!)  :P

Discuss, please. I want my designs and the blog to be useful to you.

ETA – OK, so I rearranged the posts, and this ended up being later than Solstice! HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! :)
